I used DVD rescue twice, and it went through the process, but when it came to burning the dvd, it wont play on the computer or my ps2..On the ps2 the read screen comes up....The infomation is on the dvdr; audio and video files and another archive text file.. if anyone knows whats wrong that would be great...

I am having problems with DVD Rescue too. It reads the disk ok and copies it to my hard drive. It burns the DVD with data, yet my PC nor my desktop DVD on my TV will not play it.

I have a Pioneer A04, Pent 4 with 512 mb ram and burn DVDs fine with DVD X-Copy Express.

any suggestions?

drusco and dondidier,

When you use XRescue, are you copying the movie by hitting the Rescue button?

The reason I am asking is because the Rescue button wasn't lighting up for me, so I was trying to copy using the green diamond button(copy all files). Unfortunately this will not produce a workable DVD.

321_Geek helped me out, though. A fine employee of the company, that 321_Geek. :)

He helped me discover that my Pioneer DVD-ROM was not working properly with XRescue. The company is working on increasing their support for more DVD_ROM's in XRescue. So, in the meantime, I have to read the DVD in my Burner. This allows the program to light up the Rescue button, so I can rescue DVD's.

I am having the same problems with DVD X Rescue. The system recognizes the damaged DVD but while it is in the process of fixing it my system will freeze up and I am unable to complete the process. At other times it does go through the process but the new disc created does not play. I have a Sony DRU 500A DVD burner and a Windows Operating system with a Pentium III processor and a 65 gig harddrive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
