Get this error message after DVD copy has apparently completed, and gone to verify:
"Drive operation not successful
DVD recorder is not ready
Drive error code = 02020407h
Cannot get disc and track information from the recorder
DVD recorder is not ready
Drive error code = 02020407h
The disc is not successfully recorded."
Help! Thank you!

What blank media?
What burner make and model and firmware version?

media - have tried various ones, including ones that used to work. right now have DVD-R 8x 4.7GB
Sony burner DVD RW DRU-510A

You sure seem like a nice person but you are not forthcoming with any information. Your problem is crappy media, most likely ... you are not saving anything by buying cheap poorly manufactured or outsource manufacturing media! They don't work and they got your money. Buy Verbatim, Sony, Taiyo Yuden. Forget price or wait for a sale.
I've got surgery at 10am so I gotta go.
