No codes received for Xpress activation

I'm a valid, registered user of Xcopy since last year. So I received the e-mail informing me about the new Xpress.

So I went on Xcopy web site, "upgraded" my registration for Xpress, then downloaded the software.

I then tried to activate it with my current Xcopy pwd&customer id. No luck. this was not the good one. I discovered this trough the forum, since it's written nowhere in the e-mail or on website.

Problem: I never received thoses famous e-mails with ID for Xpress. I already downloaded the software four times, without receiving any e-mail giving me the ID for activation.

I wrote tech support about this. We are, now, five days later, still no reply.

So, I'm the proud owner of a software I can't even start, since it has not been activated, and that I cannot activate.

I suppose I i'll have to wait that someone will soon produce a crack for it, so that I will, maybe, then, be able to finally use my legally registered software. :-)


Just a note about activations. If software writers continue to do software with "XP like" (hardware key) activation (dvd95copy also doing this), I can predict that, soon, hardware & software upgrades will soon becomes a real nightmare for lots of users. :-)

I really don't understand, within minutes of downloading it and I downloaded twice to test it.
I received an email with the special licence id and usual password to activate DXC Xpress, there was a different licence id in both emails.

I downloaded the 2.01 update today and activated that with the same licence id as the one for version 2.0(last one downloaded), here is what it says on the support page for activating DXC Xpress http://support.321studios.com/ .

Activate Online
To activate online, type in your License ID and your Password, click register online, and follow the on-screen instructions.

The license ID and password for the software is located in one of two places:

1. On a Retail Copy (I.E. purchased from a store like Fry’s, Office Max, etc.) The license information is located on the inside of the case the software came in. ( Look in the lower right hand, inside corner of the software packaging. The license ID and password are located on a white sticker here.)

2. On a downloaded copy or software acquired directly from 321 Studios, the license information is on the confirmation Email that was sent to the Email address provided during purchase process.

Online activations will only take seconds to complete

Thanks for answers.

I just can confirm that, even downloading 5 times, i didn't received new ID & password.

But the problem is now solved.

First, I finally got new ID & password in the e-mail announcing the Xpress 2.1 version upgrade.

Second, the same, one day later, from support staff. :-)

I suppose there was some problem during my first upgrade to Xpress. Solved.

I have still to check more DVD for results and compatibility. But, for now, I can tell Xpress is fast & easy.

Using a PIII 933, Lite-On 16x DVD, and NEC ND-1100A burner, I can complete the whole process in about 50 minutes. This, without any intervention from beginning to end.

I just hope future version of Xpress will be able to include menus. And, maybe later, some of the powerfull options already in Dvd95copy, like titleset selections.

Did you download the software from an FTP link on the forum, or did you go to the page that you have to use your License ID and Password to log into?

If you didn't use the login way, that is why you didn't get the email.

The email is triggered to be sent when you log in and download the software. This should update your account with the new License ID, and enclose it in an email to you.

I downloaded from an FTP link from previous posts. I received no Email notification that Xpress was available though I purchased DVDXCopy in January. When I went to page from above link to log in & download, it did not give me the option of downloading Xpress only newer versions of DVDXC.How do I register? Sorry for the trouble. Thanx.

The reason why you didn't get the email with your new License ID, (needed for DXCX) is because you downloaded it straight from our FTP site.

Go to this link:
http://support.321studios.com/

In the box on this page that says "What's New?" click on "click here" to upgrade.

Then click on the "NO, I do not yet have a License ID for DVD X Copy XPRESS, let me register for my FREE upgrade." link.

On the page that opens up, put in your DXC License ID and password then click on the "Submit" button.

The next page will have your personal info, verify its correct then hit "next".

Another page will open up and tell you that your license has been upgraded.

Then click on the "Customer Page" link. You may download the software from this page.

We will then send you an email with another License ID that you will need to use for activating your DXCX. But you will still use your same password as for DXC.

I followed the instructions for installation of Xpress. Now, both Xpress and XCopy require activation. I haven't received the activation email and can't use either of the products.
