I logged on and tried to DL myself, but I didn't see anything for Platinum. Using the support link, when I click on Platinum and then login, I don't see anything either. What's the trick?

Following Roberts desciption and past correspondence AND the promise I got when I bought DVDXCopy Directly in April, I was promised I would be entited to Platinum.

Although I've gotten emailed reminders of Xpress being ready to DL, I haven't seen anything yet for Platinum.

Is this the same problem everyone else is having. If so, I'll just be patient for a couple of day until the rush is over.

Thx.

jmdelal: You are obviously eligible for the FREE upgrade. If it does not appear within the next 24 hours, you'll need to send an email or contact tech support to have them force the upgrade flag on your account. But it should happen automatically in the next 24 hours.

Cheers!

I'm having troubles downloading Platinum from the FTP site. Times out everytime. I'm entitled a free upgrade (bought XPRESS as a package deal) and anxious to get it. What is the FTP site address to obtain it? I've been using the "old" one for downloads. I have my lic # and everything already, just need to download it.

I also have had no luck finding a way to download platinum....I have gone to the customer service sight and entered both my x-press license ID and my regular ID and both just show the regular downloads that have been there all along....I am sure I qualify since I ordered before the program even went on sale (11-02) The ftp site only times out....None of the 3.0 x-press programs have worked for me without exchanging the burn engines with the 2.0 series ones so I am most anxious to get my hands on platinum.......Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Whatever version Platinum may be, I want to try it. I don't know the FTP site's address and if you don't want the world to see the ftp site, email me privately with a link or something. I haven't heard anything yet.

johnb,

I talked with 321 support last night. They said only those who already have a Platinum ID (those who purchased it or got it at the conf, I guess) are able to download Platinum from the support site. Those of us who are entitled to a free upgrade will have to wait another day or two for them to set up a different download site and email us an upgrade Platinum ID.

Once again, downloading from the ftp site will do you no good since you will still not have the lisence id# or password required to activate it.

Please read the post from Mr. Moore and exercise patince until your email comes.

We are all in the same boat.

In my view this situation is getting worse for the simple fact is that on day 2 of launch most people that bought the platinum edition and have a lic. and password still cant get it. Here is a idea for the people at 321 studios for the people involved in not thinking ahead increase your bandwith get a mirror site and fixt the server issues. these are not hard issues to fix we paid good money for something with nothing to show for it except poor excuses. When trying to download the program the main error message that comes up is "file dose not exst" which tells me that they do not have the program ready for download. Im in the customer service industry and all my customers come first. If there is a problem it gets solved so that my customer is happy. 321 studios i dont think is trying that hard to fix the problem. It might be a marketing scheme to get more people talking about how they cant download the program so that other people will want to buy the program for the simple fact that it must be good because everyone is trying to download the program. With all the so called excuses and the im sorrys comming from 321 you think that they could had the insight to see that this launch was a faliure i hope that someone gets fired over this screw up. apologies are not needed or wanted. What is wanted is what all the people who paid for the software to get the program

Hello all. I mostly keep my mouth closed in the forum. I have gathered some great info since I became a 321 cutomer in Feb.

It is, however, tough to watch everyone flip out about platinum. I realize that promises were made... etc... etc. I too am on pins and needles waiting to see what platinum can do...but that is just it. I don't NEED to use it RIGHT NOW. My dvd's are not going to explode. (at least I hope not.)

I am not calling anyone out or trying to open Pandora's box. I just think people should think a little more logically.

My point is: When I finally get a look at platinum great until then I am patiently waiting. I think everyone should do the same. That's my 2 cents.

C'mon people... give them a chance. I'm sure there is no one any more frustrated than Mr. Moore and his 321 staff in not having it out yet. They, more than anyone else know we were expecting this and I'm sure they are doing everything they can to get it out.

Bitching and griping is not going to speed things up.

No it is not. That is the ftp sie, not the secureimage site. The ftp site has a beta version. It was only put there for the wrapper beta.
Please wait until it appears in your download area.

Again, please forgive the double post but needed to get this out of Mr. Moore's thread.
----------------------------------------------
Go to the support tab, click on the Platinum link on the right hand side under the "Download the latest versions" area.

This should take you to "Welcome to customer Service" and if you scroll down there will be a login screen. I used the "Customer Email" choice and logged in with that and my password for my account.

This takes me to my account and there is a listing there for all of my purchases and when I bought the software. There is now a listing there for the Platinum download. Click on the "Details" link on the left and your Platinim License # will be there.

I was able to download Platinum if I went directly to the FTP address.

However from what I've read, what you get if you go straight to the FTP site is the same as we received at the conference. Wasted download !!

However I see DVD X Maker on the FTP site which is newer ( 2.0.1 )

I then went through the support site & used my conference license. It allowed me to download Platinum 2.0 version.

Is that really newer than what we received at the conference. If so, does anyone know what is different ?.

Lawman,

I understand that. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones. I explained that in the Presidents thread, but sometimes people just don't get it.

They figure that if one person can get it, then everyone should be able to get it.

It's a waiting game that a lot of people don't like to play.

Personally, I could have waited indefinately since I don't use the software everyday and what I have is working just fine for what I do.

(Hey 321, don't change my priority now !!) LOL

Thanks Lawman, good to hear from you again.

1. I started with http://www.dvdxcopy.com/support/index.htm

2. Then it brings me to:
https://secure.smarterimage.com/solo/customers/

here is where I enter my login information.

3. Then the page changes to:
https://secure.smarterimage.com/solo/customers/customer.asp?(bla bla bla removed for account reasons.)

in this area under my profile, it show that i have access to Platium.

4. I click on the [download] on the left of "DVD X Copy Platinum Download" that brings me to:

http://secure.smarterimage.com/solo/products/custom/(000000)/dlxcopyp.asp?(bla bla bla removed for account reasons.)

5. I click on the "DOWNLOAD" graphic on the left and it takes me to:
ftp://products.321studios.com/6256/DVDXCopyPlatinum.exe

BUT no file.

mwillett,

The beta copy that I had was 7.8mb in size, the Platinum version that I got today is 8.21mb in size, so something must be different.
