one of my dvds when split by the dvd x copy shows a total volume of more than 6gb on disc one and a total of 11gb on the second!
when prompted to copy the message "information too large, cannot copy" appears. can a disc contain this amount of data even if it is a dual layer?

we are not talking of platinum here. yeah, may be this version is giving wrong info. its just plain dvd x copy that understands 4.7 gb and no more. the split should run to 4.7 x 2 and not more than that. even the superbit records with a bit rate of 8+ would fit on 2 discs. this peculiar problem seems to be really a wacko technology with a 17 gb worth of data .
