I unserstand your frustration as I have had the same issues. I had this problem with COD as well. I tried to backup on my main box using Iomega 48x24x48 ext USB2 and had same issue. I moved app to another box with a Yamaha 42x and had no issues. Ths problem stems from some burners not being so effective when it comes to RAW reads. I recommend a Yamaha or Plextor forthese types of applications.
