steve83 mentioned the 50pak of FUJI DVD+R at CompUsa.com. These are 2.4x and cost $59.99 after instant and mail-in rebates.

Pricematch these to BestBuy and get them cheaper - 110% Pricematch guarantee.

Good media!

Circuit City is have a 40% off sale on all Memorex DVD media. No rebates. Some notables:

4x DVD+R, 10 pk Jewels, 16.79
4x DVD+R, 25 pk Spindle, 35.99
(These are Taiwan, Ricoh)

4x DVD-R, 25 pk Spindle, 35.99
(I believe these are Taiwan, CMC)

RWG has the right idea, you can price match these at Best Buy and save a little more.

Officedepot has a gret deal going till the 23rd.

2 25pk Philips DVD+R media. Total after 2 coupons is $48.54 for me in OK.

From Fatwallet.com:

Good for shipped items onlt, no instore pickup.

Search 881-218

Add (2) to your cart then apply 2 coupons:

052002322 (gives you the Buy 1 Get 1 free)
010853472 (gives you $15 off $50 )
or
069049548 (gives you $10 off $50)

Subtotal is $44.94 or $49.94

Enjoy..

ok im confused
first is there a shipping charge for office depot? is it smaller than the aditional money off with the coupon code?

who does the 110 % price match ?
best buy ? you say if i tell best buy that circit city is selling somethime for a certian price that they match and beat it by 10%?
what does circut city do to keep me there (will they kick in another 10 % ? )

do they match office depot also ?

so for this week is it
office depot in person ?
office depot online with coupon ?
circut city
best buy

abell is the sale including +rw also or only +r? 40% off is alot
so you all are saying go tell bestbuy about the 40%off sale and they give me an extra 10
thats 50% off ! on all media then (right?)
so is that cheaper than office depots online deal?

The Office Depot Philips 25 packs you can order online, use the 2 coupons (1 free and $15.00 off for purchases over $50) and pick them up at your local store. Total for me with tax is $48.09 for 50 discs. What a country.

security,

For +R/W, only the 6pk +R /RW combo (3 each) shows on the website, but I believe they carry some +R/W only in-store (not 100% on that though).

The price match for Best Buy would be the Circuit City price + 10% of the diff. So if BB sells the 25pk for 49.99, they should match CC's 35.99 and knock off 1.40. Nothing to drive out of the way for, but if they're close by just bring in the CC circular.

So the deals would be:

0.90/ea + tax for the OD 2.4x Philips +R 25pks
1.44/ea + tax for the CC 4x Memorex 25pks (little less if you pricematch @ BB.)

The Philips are an excellent deal. The Memorex are a good no rebate deal for 4x and possibly +RW locally.

security,

Answer to a few Q's of yours...

ok im confused

Shipping is free. Tax will apply. $3.60 in my case.

who does the 110 % price match ?
best buy ? you say if i tell best buy that circit city is selling somethime for a certian price that they match and beat it by 10%?

Exactly. Bestbuy, Staples, Circuit City and others pricematch each other. Some others may but I can't think of them off hand.

do they match office depot also ?

Donno. Never tried.

so for this week is it office depot in person ? office depot online with coupon ?
circut city
best buy

I know it's good online till the 23rd at Office Depot on the 2 2pak of Fuji +R data. See my last post and don't search for Fuji, search for the item # I posted.

Good luck

Hey security,

I got the Optodisk +RW today. Boy, what a bummer. Out of 25, it looks like 8 might be OK, the other 17 are flawed with round multi-color and blue flaws in the burn side of the disk. I immediatly called shop4tech and spoke with someone. They were very nice and I explained my situation. They are sending me my usual Leda+RW to replace them, great company. I also placed another order of Leda while I had them on the phone. It looks like Leda will remain my choice brand for the +RW.

The Optodisc brand lately has been really hit or miss with quality. I use the blue -R discs in my Panasonic, and I've had a few really crappy batches lately. Going to stick with Fuji from now on. More expensive, but I know what I'm getting into with them.

It's the "Retail" prices we need to know for the "40%" off to have any significance.

Hi Guys

Wondering if somebody can help me out with some advice? I live in a kind of Limbo here in the US Virgin Islands. We're considered domestic by some vendors and international by others with the majority treating us as international.

I was going to take advantage of the Shop4Tech "Oneacer" deal, but unfortunately Shop4Tech wanted to charge me $150 in shipping charges alone to send me 100 disks and 100 cases. Ouch! That kind of defeats the purpose of buying in bulk. After I saw the shipping costs when I was trying to place the order on-line, I cancelled it and called customer service to see if I could arrange some alternate shipping method. I was told that it would cost whatever it said it would cost on the website and they couldn't help me.

Does anyone know a vendor that sells reliable media at a price similar to Shop4Tech and is more liberal in their shipping methods, or has a customer service department that is actually willing to hear you out regarding shipping options?

I was a little surprised at the response I got from Shop4Tech as we are really not that hard to ship to. We have the US Postal Service here as well as Fedex. We just don't have UPS (although I think Fedex acts as an agent for UPS here) and in the interim I can use Bestbuy who treats us as if we are domestic and ships here free.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. The drawback to Bestbuy is that it takes forever to get your stuff and they don't offer expedited shipping here. Buying locally here is terrible. Memorex 4X DVD+R is over $4 per disk when you can even get it.

Hi IslandGuy,

Sorry to hear about your shipping problems. I have also had success with Ritek +RW media. You might try different sites that sell this brand. A few are rima.com and yesbuy.com . I'm sure there are more sites out there by doing a search and one will probably fit your needs. I would think that the US mail system would be the cheapest way to get them to you. Good luck and post back, as other people are probably in your same situation and your insight would be helpful. Thanks again for posting.

Office Depot has another 2 for 1 + coupon deal, this time with Verbatim 15 Packs.

This one is from Techbargains.com:

http://www.officedepot.com/offers/save.do

Enter code: 10853472 (15.00 off 50.00+)

Add 2 Verbatim 15pk DVD+R to your cart, Item: 447220
and
Add 2 Verbatim 15pk DVD-R to your cart, Item: 449659

Buy one get one free coupon: 69629846

The total should be $52.98 + tax for 60 total (30 -R's and 30 +R's). Free shipping or in-store pickup

Looks like the 2 for 1 coupon will only work once per item number, so that's why you have to get both formats to qualify the 15.00 coupon.

At 0.88/ea + tax though, it's a great deal for dual format drive owners or if you know someone who uses opposite format disks.

If you want to get one format only and skip the 15.00 off coupon, just add 2 of the item number you want then enter the buy one, get one free code at checkout. It should come out to 33.97 + tax for 30. At 1.13/ea + tax, still a pretty good deal.

abell44,

Thanks for the Office Depot info. I found the Verbatim numbers from their website and checked them out at Meritline (where I buy Accu -Rs). Here are the prices :

94589 - Verbatim 15pk DVD+R 4X (OD Item: 447220)
30 for $52.50 + shipping
94490 - Verbatim 15pk DVD-R 2X (OD Item: 449659)
30 for $53.70 + shipping

So they are half the price with your info. The Office Depot order arrives Tuesday. If all is as expected, I am going to see if you can place a second order using the same 'coupons'.

Thanks again,
Roy
