I am having trouble burning a dvd. The ripping goes fine and is in the temp folder but when I try to burn the disk the software says that the copy is complete but when I try to play the disk it just spins. Looking at the disk it seems that only part of the disk is written too. It will not play in a dvd player or the computer. I am reading
the disk and recording the new disk with my DVD Burner. Also, I have turned off my antivirus software during the operation. Then, I tried to take the files in the temp folder and burn them with the Roxio Media Creator 9 software that is also on the computer and the disk burned fine and seemed to play on my computer and dvd player. Can you help me fix this? Do you think the two burning softwares are conflicting (DVDxCopy and Roxio Media Creater 9). My old computer had DVDxCopy and Sonic My DVD 4 software on it and they did not seem to conflict.

VSO Inspector

Using this freeware, you can check the listed cd and dvd readers and writers connected to your computer, check the firmware used. Also you can scan a burnt media for read errors and be confident about the readibility of your fresh backup.

I bought my copy of DVD xCopy from 321 Studios,
St. Louis Galleria, St. Louis, MO USA on 12/22/03.
I have updated my software to version 4.0.3.8. I was able to activate the program with the help of DVD xCopy International. They gave me 3 activations. I did try to uninstall Roxio Media Creator 9 and then used Roxizap to clean up any loose files. Then I followed the advise at
http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/276653. Still the same problem. The disk seemed to burn the full amount but can not be read by the computer or a dvd reader. I guess that it is not closing properly. I guess that I could try to re-install the DVD xCopy software again but I do not want to use up all of my
activations. I will try to install a new Patin Couffin Engine tonight to see if this helps.

also use Taiyo Yuden media and verbatin,if using memorex which are poop media to use
can also be your problem.

I have been using this for a couple of years along with anydvd with no problems. I just got a new computer and am trying to put the programs that I use on the new computer. I was able to burn the files in the temp folder and the dvd did play just fine in a computer and a dvd player. I just was hoping to find a fix for this problem so that I would not have to do a work around.
