What would be the user choice of what writer to have with few problems and fast speed?

I own a toshiba 5205-703 with a external Sony 500 writer.

I can backup about 95 percent of my originals with little problems. Most of the time it read errors, if it doesnt bakup. I even took back the disk and got a replacement, and still gets the same error.

A manual would help or a online PDF would be great on how to do the advance option.

Well thanks 321 Studios the last patch 3.2.1 works pretty good. I am almost 100% of all my backups. No more of those nasty Read TS_video errors. So far the only disk that i just order that will not backup is married with children disk 2. Most of the ones I could not backup I now can backup.

Using a Pioneer DVR-105. Never had a problem burning discs with this burner. Works great at 4x speed also. I've only run into problems with some versions of DXC and DXCX but it seems DXC Platinum v3.2.1 has no problems so far.
