I have noticed within the x show program that if you are doing a lot of editing of your hotboxes that it helps to save the file and reboot your system with the saved file, there appears to be some ram memory lock ups and this appears to allow you to keep the file workable.

Good point -- I always 'save' asd I go along because I have been bitten like that before.
If you are not going to be doing much zooming into images, you can save yourself a considerable amount of RAM space by downsizing your images to 800 by 600 at 72 dpi. Inthe end they all come out 640 by 480 but if you shoot in 2:3 aspect and need that little extra to zoom in to eliminate the 'letterbox' inthe videl 4:3 ratio then you'll have the resolution available to do so without having to interpolate and get into the 'digital zoom' arena.
