I have an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 8500DV capture card. When I click on 'Capture Video' in X Maker, the hour glass appears and the system stops responding. I cannot even shut down the program, I must reboot the system. It looks like X Maker isn't recognizing the capture card. The capture card (tv card) works great everywhere else. I am running XP pro with dual 800MHz PIII processors.

I have always found capturing with what works, then authoring with what works, is a good way to get things done.

I'm not an apologist for flaws in any program (except mine), so don't take it that way, but if a workaround exists, I take it...

I'm having the same problem with my ATI AIW 8500DV video card It won't capture video, just locks up my computer when I try. You would think they would have put out a patch or fix for this known problem!

I'm having the same problem. I've also tried to capture video with ATI TV with a bunch of different formats and xmaker doesn't like any of them. Any suggestions on what capture s/w to use and settings if any?

If you go to the 321 Forum site, you will find that ATI capture cards do not work with XMaker, and so far, I have not found any capture card that does work with it (My NVidia and my Belkin will not work with it alhough they work fine in Roxio, Pinnacle, MGI and Windows Movie maker). They (321)do not seem concerned about this at all--they just tell you to capture using any other program and import into XMaker.
