I have a problem with the Spirited Away DVD.

There are TWO different subtitle tracks on this DVD, English for the hearing impared, and English. If you look at the subtitle options in my DVD player software (WinDVD), they show up as "Disabled", "English" and "English". If you select the first "English", you get the "English for the hearing impared" version. The second "English" option is the regular English subtitles.

When I open the subtitle selection box in Platinum ("Simple" copy), it shows TWO subtitle options, "None" and "English". When I copy the DVD with the "English" subtitle selected, it turns out to be the "English for the hearing impared" version.

I HAVE BEEN REPORTING THIS PROBLEM FOR EVERY VERSION OF XPRESS,(AND PLATINUM BETA AS WELL) SINCE SPIRITED AWAY CAME OUT ON DVD!!!! It is not in the list of "Known Problems", and it hasnt been fixed.

Will someone PLEASE acknowledge that the developers are aware of this issue?

Thanks!

Even if I had a TDF that worked, the program still needs fixed, as not all the subtitle options are available.

The Subtitle selection box should show both "English" options.

did you try selecting the "none" option you mentioned? tey that on an rw and erase it if it is not what you want. so you did not use a tdf is that correct? the tdf may be the "fix" you need.

let me ask you this do you have a back up made to you satisfaction now?
