In DVD X Copy Gold, I could skip the first disc and rip/burn disc 2.

I've upgraded to Platinum, it had a problem reading the second half of a scratchy disc. After cleaning it off, how can I start it over the skip disc 1? I've been using Advanced mode.

I can't find a way to use the title selection because there's no apparent way to select title 1 and delete the chapters for disc 1.

I am afraid at this time about the only option you got is do the same way you did before. You can use rw for first disk so it can be used again later. Make sure you do everything the same as before to have the second disk start at right point.

Thanks. I'll try that with an -RW, seems like an awful waste of time (but then I wish I could save the results of ripping for re-use when something goes wrong).

Can I run both gold and platinum on the same system? I've just reinstalled both, haven't tried it yet.. ..should it work?

I would think so. I have platinum and xpress and dxc on same which is basically what you are wanting just not the gold label. I did however install xpress and dxc in different folder other then 321 folder.
