Newbe here so bear with me. I'm trying to backup 24 season 2 using Platium in advance mode on luck I get an ERROR Inf or Ifn, something like that. Tried in express (entire disk) same error. Now the really weird part using Rescue I was able to get all of the disks but some have play back errors, disk 1 worked fine disk 2 hung and locked up on the 2nd episoid. Haven't gotten to the others yet.
Are these episodie disks a real problem?

You can't back up episodic discs with xpress - trying using dvd x copy instead.
I can't get platinum to work properly either yet.

You can use the "Simple" mode in Platnum to copy a episodial dvd, just click the "Whole disk" box.

Well, on the back of my dvd x copy gold case, there is a product comparison between dvd x copy and xpress - it clearly states that xpress does not back up episodic dvds. I only received this product a few weeks ago. So I've always assumed that xpress would not work with episodic.
The simple mode is of course xpress, although I understand that a lot of people can't get it to work via the platinum interface.

I think that the "simple" mode in platnum and "express" are close, but not exactly the same. From what I remember the express 3 copy demo did not have the "whole disk" check box. Regardless with the whole disk" checkbox marked Simple mode did copy the whole disk on Bayblon 5 season 1 disk 1. Guess I am lucky in a way Platnum simple mode works for me but expert mode gives me the instant burn issue.

I am having the same problem with platinum (both in the simple and advanced modes). I get the Inf error when it is at 99% reading. I tried Rescue and wasted 2 disks. The Rescue program burns a disk but it won't play on the computer or dvd player. Not sure what to do.

yeah i was able to copy sex in the city 2,3 &4 but season 1 will not work. I used platinum and it will not work. What can I do....

I was able to copy the entire 24 Season 2, BUT I had to use the advanced mode and I didn't "check off" the last titleset. I'm not absolutely sure if it was only the last titleset I omitted or other non-essential ones as well, since I copied them September 11 and I don't quite remember anymore. Also, I used DVDX Rescue and successfully copied the entire disc 7 without omitting any titlesets. Just to let you know, I have been one of the lucky ones and I have almost never had a problem with DVDXCopy, DVDXCopy Xpress or DVDXCopy Platinum. I use Ritek DVD+RW since I only pay $1.45 each versus $1.25 (or so) each for +R, so for 20 cents more I never have made a coaster.
