Like many others I had no luck with the first couple of versions of Platinum, but 3.11 worked finally. But now there are several bugs popping up from time to time.
The first one, after starting the program and clicking the advanced button the program gives me an error stating that the video TS files are not found. If I reboot the problems goes away until I try to burn another DVD.
#2 After reading a DVD it gets to the insert a blank DVD media disc screen but the start button is greyed out (this was one of the problems with earlier versions), again the fix seems to be to reboot.
These problems my seem small but it's a total pain in the A$$ to reboot after every time the program is run. With the power of days PC's these programs should be able to run time after time without a reboot.

Am I the only one out there that follows a "script" everytime I make a DVD backup copy? A "script" is an exact set of steps taken to accomplish some objective consistently every time. Anyway, I learned right out of the gate way back in January, that with 321 Studio software I could eliminate a whole lot of potential problems simply by making the first step of my script "restart computer." Restarting the computer is no big deal to me, probably not even necessary 75% of the time, and certainly isn't any reflection on 321 Studio software.
My objective is to backup DVDs as easily (i.e. oe-click) and consistently (no coasters) as possible, given that this whole DVD backup technology is still cutting-edge. Granted Platinum is still a work-in-progress, however, DXC and DXCX in my opinion are fine products.

Sound like software conflict or DVDXCP did't instal properly just follow the instruction..
1.Redownload the DVDXCP 3.1.1 2.Clean Uninstall DVDXCP 3.Restart my computer 4.Go to START...RUN...TYPE> MSCONFIG> ENTER 5.Choose Selective Start Up 6.Uncheck A.Process System.INI File B.Process Win.INI File And C. Load Startup Items 7.Go to Services Tab,at the bottom put a check on Hide All Microsoft Services then put a check on Disable ALL 8.Click Apply 9.Restart computer 10.Reinstall DVDXCP 11.Restart your Computer 12.Open DVDXCP 13.Click on setting make sure your DVD Burner is Recognized 14.Good luck 15.After you finish don't forget to go MSCONFIG,Select Normal Start up then Select Selective Start up,click apply,Restart your Computer.

I have 2 installations of Windows XP on my hard drive. One I use for everyday use and the other only for DVDXCOPY Platinum. When I need to do a back-up I re-boot into the Xcopy version of windows were I have nothing else installed or running in the background and this seems to be the perfect solution, with no need to close down this that and the other before burning.

I may be dumb but how do you get two installs of Windows XP on the system at the same time. I would appreciate you giving me a step by step to try this.

Hi Guys, I have a dual boot system one with win98se and other win2k win 98se doesnt show the vso driver in the device mgr at all? is this normal? and can burn only the movie and everthing when checked and plat 3.11 wont work at all. no black list on sys's can someone tell me what im doing wrong i have reinstalled several times and not getting results even with tech support.help!!
