Well I have had no luck with anything but express.

Each time I write a disk with Platinum it will not play on my dvd players. It gives the following error on the computer DVD player:
Unknown file format
error code 8903000

I can only use a older version of express for copies?

Help me please

Thanks

KSCHON,
ABOVE YE VERY TOP OF PAGE,LOOK FOR SEARCH..CLICK ON IT....INPUT 8903000 IN THE SEARCH WINDOW.....THERE IS A LOT OF INFO ON THAT PROBLEM...YOU MIGHT HAVE TO READ THEM ALL TO FIND AND SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM.....
ARE YE USEING PLATINUM-VER-3.1.1 ? IF NOT GET THE UPDATE........

that info below is for commercial dvds she is giveing you,it is not for those burned with dvdxcopy programs...in other words if you get that error playing a commerial movie..that would fix that problem...your problem is more solfware related....

Ken,
when you say your computer gives you error codes.
was the player software called 'power dvd' made by cyber link? the cyberlink
support page lists some fixes for that error @
http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/cs/support/faq.jsp?ID=1233

but you say your set top/ stand alone players fail too? well that would not point to cyberlink directly. if you have "power
dvd" then try the tips on the cyberlink page. see if you can get a good playback on
your computer. then we can narrow it down some more.
also if you would, check the disc you made by using "Windows Explorer" and
see whether the files on the disc can be recognized correctly with valid
formats, and also with a file size rather than "0". and lets use rw until we
get this worked out. what media are you using now?
