well, that didn't work, and none of my Xpress versions would work (Plat, Xpress, Xcopy) so I
did a ghost and went back in time...

No, my husband said DirectX9.0 is something bad, do I have to use that version? Since nothing is working quite right, should I uninstall EZ CD, all 321 products, then reinstall 321 products, then install EZ CD?
I also close all programs (with Enditall)...thanks

I believe you need directx 8.0 or later to preview.
EZ CD has nothing to do with your preview problem.

I am experiencing the exact same problem as JUSTLEA. In attempt to solve the problem, I uninstalled Platinum 3.1.1, installed Directx 9.0 and then reinstalled Platinum. Same problem, I cannot preview; the computer immediately states "FAILED TO INITIATE FILTER. INSTALL ALL THE DIRECTX FILTERS COMING WITH SETUP." I hit "OK" and get "PREVIEW FATAL ERROR. CAN NOT READ." Any ideas?

I have a whole new problem, wanted un-install all products and reinstall, and NONE of them will uninstall. Plat starts and stalls, XCopy and Xpress tell me they can't because of possible virus?? How can I un-install manually?

What is your virus protection program?
I suggest you reinstall Platinum, Express and DVDXCopy and then try again to uninstall them.
Please write down any error messages you get when trying to uninstall again.

Reinstall those 321 programs right over the top of the existing uninstallable programs and then try uninstalling them.

ok, can't reinstall or uninstall, get same message (even with fresh d/l's):
NSIS ERROR Installer corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a failed download or corruption from a virus. (did a virus check)

So am I....
NSIS is a Nullsoft installer and it's usually related to a Winamp installation. I don't know what that has to do with Express.
You've got two installations of Express, version 2.5 and 3.0.
Can you uninstall either one of them?

No, I cannot uninstall any 321 product at this time or reinstall...can it be done manually? I'd need to know where all components went right?

Outside of the Program folder and the software keys under HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM) in the registry editor, I don't know.
Try removing those entries in Regedit and then see if you can reinstall.

Did you go into the SETTINS>CONTROL PANEL and try ADD or REMOVE PROGRAMS and see if they're listed there?
