This sounds like the same problem that Die Another Day has.
There is not a separate subtitle track, it is sort of an overlay that DXCX does not pick up. This has been entered as a known problem by 321Q/A.
In Die Another Day , a copy could be made with the Korean subtitles by choosing the entire disc option.
It does not sound like a TDF will help you out.
