cado,

Are you burning at 4x? If you are try 2 or 2.4x media.

The HP 200 does not burn at 4x,the firmware change to 1.51 allowed you to use 4x media.

cado,

Sorry, cado, my answer was lame. I should have known that burning speed has nothing to do with read step.

How quickly do you get that error after clicking the start button?

I got a e-mail from tech support at 321 studios they yold me to do this:1: Uninstall XPress
2: Delete the 321 Studios Folder
3: Go into Device Manager (see footnote if you do not understand how to
get into device manager)
4: Remove any devices under VSO Devices, be careful not to delete
anything BUT the "Patin Coufin" Engine.
5: If nothing is there, that is fine.
6: Run this ForceASPI - You can download this file from
ftp://ftp.321studios.com/ASPI/ForceASPI.exe
7: Make sure you run the pink Icon that the install leaves. It should
prompt you to reboot your computer after you complete the steps.
8: Reboot
9: Reinstall XPRESS 3.0.1
10: Reboot
11: Copy your movie.

cado,

There are some users who experience this problem and 321 is aware of the issue, in fact it's a priority to get this fixed.
I understand that they will be actively trying to correct this problem this week.

The next update, they say, will fix this problem.

Thanks,
Conrad
