"TDF stands for “Title Definition Format”. TDF files contain setup instructions that tell DVD X Copy XPRESS how back up a DVD movie. TDF files for DVD X Copy XPRESS are intended to be used only to fix incorrect titleset selections made by DVD X Copy XPRESS and DVD authoring problems inherent in some DVD movies."
Yeah, I read it and it completes with a complete backup with Xcopy but when I use xpress it stops at the TITLE after it is burned.
So it must not be able to select the proper TITLE after I have burned it. It needs to know Full/wide.
By the way your link is wrong.

Link is correct now. Have you selected both widescreen and fuyllscreen and seen what happens?
You say you assume its widescreen/fullscreen stopping it? Have you done any experimenting to be sure?

I have also tried dog soldiers, but I have tried selecting both widescreen and the fullscreen. No go....
It has the 321 studios backup screen in the beginning, and then there is like a 7 second movie of the artisan logo appearing, then the disc stops. only like 5 meg of data gets written to the dvd...

Movie: Dog Soldiers
ISBN #: 13108 (artisan catalog number)
Region: NTSC
Version: Widescreen
Language: English
Subtitles: English
Problem: It only burns 5 meg on the disc, and the only video on it is the 321 studios logo and the artisan logo

Are any of you actually watching the burn process to see how long the burn is taking place?
What is the size of the file that is burned on the DVD?

The read process seems normal, but the burn takes about 10 minutes or so. The file is approx. 5 megabits.
I knew something was up when it burned so quickly. I have a fast burner but that was way too fast.
In the DVD menu it makes you select widescreen or fullscreen before you can watch the film. Is that the problem?

Yes that must be the problem. If someone has this movie they can make a TDF File for it and force DXCX to capture either the full or widescreen.

How do we make a TDF? I have the movie and would be willing to give it a shot...
