What is going on with my DVD Xcopy? A "buddy" of mine installed IE 7 and now I canít get Xcopy to work. I have re-installed the disk but nothing; I have had a few problems with it but am now getting cannot write achive.txt. I use 3.2.1. Is it out of date?

I do not have to enter the ID or Password anymore and have had some "Error occurred reading sectors" and "Error selecting movie-title set!" messages.

My system is old and I have just purchased a new external DVD writer to fix the problem.

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Sony PCG-FR Services

and

Freecom-DVD+/-RW 18H9 USB Device

Can anyone help with the brain buster of a question?

How do I make Xcopy work?

Kk, just deleted IE7, It would not delete at first. I had to get rid of Microsoft Office XP 2002 before it would remove from my computer.

Sorry to be a pain but i did not get what you meant when you said "also try in dvdxcopy make a new folder in c-drive name it dvdxcopy temp...and send the achive.txt. to that folder"

I cant find anything called archive.txt on my computer and should i put my new folder in C:/Programme Files/321Studios/Xpress or just in C?

Thanks Andy

i do not have the program installed any more,so i am trying to this from memory ..

in the program ye can set when ye program temp movie video_ts files are sent to..

that why i ask ye to make a new folder on c-drive.
and in the program set it to send them to that folder.

i will make it easier for you as the program is to old to do the sony movies

click here and download clonedvd and anydvd, free to try for 21 days..and with those ye can reinstall ie-7 and office.

Yea, I thought it was a bit old for the system, I have had this for about 5 years. Guess I'm a little tight but I do not mind buying an upgrade. Just wanted it to work thats all. I will check out your link and thanks for your time and help. Sending you loads of luck down the cable.
