I have bought a GOLD version of DXC. I noticed that I am allowed to do only two activations!. What does that mean. I can install the software only twice?. We all install/reinstall our OSs and change our computers several times. How does this work in that case?.

I already reinstalled XP and that wiped off my DXC installation. I need to install DXC again. Also, I would like to install the software on my another new SONY VAIO desktop which has DVD burner. So if I reinstall the software on my current machine and y desktop, I will not be allowed to install and use my software further ( because I have only 2 activations left). This is kind of strange licensing scheme. Please clarify.

Also, I am not able to download the software from ftp://products.321studios.com/6064/DVDXCopy_GOLD_v3.0.2_full_install.exe 'coz this site is down.

Thanks,

The activations prevent you from sharing the software on places like KAZAA.

If you run out of activations all you have to do is contact customer support or PM 321_Q/A and they will reset your activations for you.

Also, you need to read your EULA. I believe the GOLD EULA only allows you to install the software on one machine at a time.

There was talk of changing that, but I haven't heard what the final decision was.

Thanks.

Do you know when this site will be up to download the software?

I don't have a clue. Since most of 321 goes home on the weekends I would bet they don't even know its down.

Also, unless you have an Optorite dvd burner there is no need to upgrade to 3.0.2.
