getting read error with" planet of the apes"

I need help. I tried clonedvd,dvdxcopy,and fabdvd and I am having problems tring to copy dvd. I keep getting this read error "f:/video_ts/vts_10_3.vob read error" and also it says "data error(cyclic redundancy check". what the heck does this mean and why can't i copy this darn movie? thanks rich

i already updated my drivers. i have an hp dvd 740b. how the heck do i change my burn speed. and what do you mean change my media to verbatim? do you mean use verbatim dvd's? that is what i am using,dvd-r up to 8X. thanks your help is much appreciated rich

and update anydvd to 6113..

i tried what you said,i changed speed to 6X and i am still getting a processing error and what i typed before is coming up.am i doing something wrong? also when i get to page when program is scanning movie, it freezes up at same spot eveytime at 88%. what do you think? thanks again rich

are you using anydvd v6113?
its needed for clonedvd...

also you might have a bad movie disk...

yes it updated today. i am using trial version to make sure i like it before i buy. i get blockbuster through mail and i tried to copy that one and it didn't work so i returned the one and rented a different one. what the heck can it be that i can't copy this movie? thanks rich

also you might have a bad movie disk...

try this to rip the movie,turn off anydvd..if it does not copy its the movie disk..

thanks for all your help but nothing will work with this darn dvd. two different dvds of same movie can't be bad. it must be some kind of encrytion. thanks rich
