I have an old machine that I do nothing on except rip the occasional movie. Today I copied one and it went fine. Ten minutes later, I tried another and got a message saying something to the effect that "this disc is css copy protected... do you want more information on copying css-protected discs" and 'yes','cancel' buttons.

I have changed absolutely nothing on this machine for a year. I have run no other program on this machine for months. I have installed no software onto this machine for more than a year.

WTF?

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks for the quick reply but i don't think that's it. I tested four dvds from my collection including an ancient Ghostbusters. Each gave the same response.

Again, wierdly, I changed absolutely nothing on the machine, didn't even restart the program and this problem just cropped up.

next time play the movie with ye computer player and start the copying program and shut down the player..

if that does not work then the program is corrupted......
