After reformating my computer for the billionth time, I tried to reinstall XPress and I got the message that I've been giving the alotted amount of downloads of 7. So how do I fix it if I can.

Remexx,

Either send an email to Support@321Studios.com
or PM 321_Q/A on Monday along with your Customer ID and License number.

You shouldn't have a problem getting that reactivated.

I have updated my dvdxcopy xpress twice when new versions came out. I have read on some of the boards that you should unistall older versions and then install new update, won't that count as an activation everytime you re-install new updated version? I'm I wrong?

robin_1,
As long as you don't reformat the installation hard drive and/or you don't install Express on a completely different computer you WILL NOT use up any activations. You can uninstall Express to your hearts content, you can reinstall updates to Express to your hearts content and you won't lose any activations.

Go here: https://secure.smarterimage.com/solo/customers/

Enter your login and password.

Click on the 'Details' link next to Express and the next screen will tell you how many activations you have left.

Thanks Conrad for the info. I saw I had 2 activactions left. By the way I love my DVDXCopy and DVDXCopy Express. My backups came out great...now to figure out how to disable DLA in Veritas Record Now so I can use both. I need to reinstall my Veritas to burn some photos.

Thanks for the reply. Love my DVDXC

robin_1,

Veritas RecordNow is a separate install. Veritas DLA is also a separate install.

I have DLA installed but I disable it until I need it. Some users can't even have it installed and disabled without conficting with DVDXCopy/Express.

You can try installing DLA, right click on your burner in Windows Explorer, go to the DLA tab and select something like 'don't use DLA for this drive' and see what happens with Express.

If you have the same problem as Remexx then follow the same advice that Conrad gave him.

If you PM 321_Q/A and ask him to reset your activations, he will.
