enforcer1,
We will get a copy of Windwalkers and see what's going on with that title.

Also, why did you have to change your AD Handle?

kdclark12,
Did anything on the system change?
Check to make sure that all of your ROM drives are set to the DMA mode instead of PIO.

Also, make sure that the ASPI layer was not changed by another program such as a different burning program or a software DVD player.

"I have backed up Harry Potter. Its about 2:40 minutes. Fit on 1 disk using XPRESS. Works great on all 3 of my players (PS2, Apex, Sony). The only problem I've had was My next copy. Program quit working. Unistalled and reinstalled. When starting out the Xpress screen goes White and just sits there like its transcoding. My lights on the computer are going crazy. Let run for 45 minutes then the screen changed to burn. Put in disk burned for 2 minutes and the only thing there was the DVD warning screen, Like at the start of every copy. Then locked up player.
Also: The Beta test sight seems to freeze and not let you enter all the iformation. ttp://beta.321studios.com/default.asp?qid=72

Any ideas or help would be appreciated."

donb1,
rhmoore posted this earlier, but this is where you need to go.

Go to http://www.dvdxcopy.com and click on the support tab at the top. The rest should be self explanatory.

"I am one of those the preordered DVD X Copy and am suppose to be getting Express and Plantinum free but even though it is obivious that some have already downloaded Express I can't find where I can. I went to my support page and only 1.5.2 and previous ver 1.4.1 are available for download and then on the main page I see Express for sale. How do I go about being able to download Express?"

pcron,
No, XPRESS will not change the aspect ratio of the DVD, but if the DVD that you are working with has both versions on the same disk, you will have the option to choose one or the other.

Usually one of the versions will be larger than the other, so it may require a little more compression, but it really shouldn't affect the quality.

"Just curious about the Widescreen and Fullscreen option. Does it make a widescreen movie full screen ? Does that compromise on the video quality ??"

Thanks for allowing me to be one of the beta testers. The S/W is just great.

Initially had the audio problem, but with the upgrade fix it was just fine too. The video is so very pure and quality is outstanding.

I tested "Return to Me," "Black Hawk Down" and "The Banger Sisters."

Thanks 321....great job!

All,
If you are a Retail customer, you ARE eligible to get the XPRESS version, but they do not have it configured yet to allow Retail customers to get the download. That is the reason why you get the message that you do.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

They are working on this now, and it should be straightened out sometime today. If it is not, don't flame me.. I'm just the messenger.

Note-yes,321 studio promp freeze happens on all
3-players.also on my new player a emerson
dvd/vcr MP3 player 2-weeks old.
Had this problem with dvdxcopy ver-1.0 to
ver-1.22,the problem was corrected with the
next ver.1.31 all the way to ver-1.52.
THE COMPUTER TO BETA TEST EXPRESS TURNED OUT
TO HAVE A BAD BURNER,COULD NOT DO THE BETA TEST.
Installed express on main computer, which would
not let me send in a report, because of the firewall.Could not shut down the firewall,as
this computer controls the other 4-computers.

321_Q/A :

It was a R2 version of WindTalkers (not that that should have been a problem)

As for my changing my Handle, not by choice.
I Just happened to move home, And here in the UK if you move, you have to cancel your broadband account, My ISP wanted to charge me £60 diconnection fee and then another £50 to reconnect,
Although I was keeping my existing phone NO. and staying at the same telephone exchange.

So I changed my ISP at the same time, had to wait for British Telecom to activate my new Broadband account, by then Afterdawn changed the login system, and asked everyone to reactivate their account's

Of course I could not, as I no longer had access to to my old mail box, and If I request a new activation email it goes to my old mailbox, catch 22,
Cannot log on to change my email address until I reactivate my old account!!!*@!*.

I did PM Drd, and he responded within a couple of hours, said he would try to sort it, but have not heard since.

I even emailed my old ISP to get it off their server and forward it to my new mailbox, but again nothing.

any BollYWood agent want to buy the film right's.....
Formally known as Lawman, but due to unforseen circumstances, have had to set up a new account,
Have asked for my old account to be re-activated!! - who knows?

Mr Moore,

thank you for allowing me to be a beta tester & I hope I contributed with the titles I copied. The program is second to none & the quality is indistinguishable from the original just like I had posted here
http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/32381

So far I have backed up over 20 DVD's & no problems whatsoever.

I look forward to the Platinum Edition. I have also recommended your product to many individuals here in Toronto locally & many have taken the plunge & purchased it.

Keep up the great work & good luck this Friday in court, we are all behind you.

Chris

ireland,
Have you had a chance to put it on a different system, or is that what you did when you made the disks that hang?

well after the reboot, I tried activating with my DXC license and received an error stating that I was "attempting to activate with a license assigned to a different product" error, I called the activation line and went through 3 or 4 attempts, they then had me call tech support and I was finally able to get it activaited. I am now up and going.......

I have not had a chance yet to download/install Xpress 2.0. Was wondering if someone who has can tell me if it: (1) Includes its own burning engine, like DVDXCOPY? Can you select between any included (internal) engine and a compatible external one? (2) Does it have similar functionality as DVDXCOPY, such as the "DVD-BACKUP" red notification, copy-of-copy protection, etc.?

Thanks much.
