Hi

Yes it works fine, well about 90% with DVD+R, but will not copy to a DVD+RW.

I have tried three types of DVD+RW
Philips,
TDK,
Verbatim.

I just downloaded and installed the latest version but when I tried to do a 2 drive copy to backup a DVD movie the program just keeps crashing. I rebooted and had the same problem and sending in error reports.

I tried downloading the plugin but it's not found on that server. Has it been moved? I can't seem to get the program to work at all. Help please!!

ATTENTION ..to all using DVDneXtCOPY V.2.2.3.1 for the first time .

If you choose to use another 3 party decrypter other than Machinist2.dll (which is the programs recommended free decrypter )...it is then advisable to completely remove Machinist2.dll ( if you have it installed )from your system as it is always running in the background and cannot be turned off . A number of users are choosing to use SLYSOFT's ANYDVD instead which is free to try for 21 days but must be purchased after that and is completly compatible. In this case DVDneXtCopy's compatibility mode must be selected in order for it to work...a warning flag will then pop up

I am having problems w/2.2.3.1 that are similar to those in the earlier threads.

First, it will not recognize or burn to a DVD +RW. I've tried several to no avail.

Second, DVD +Rs will not play in set top Sony DVD players. I did not have this problem before the upgrade.

I'm still awaiting a response to my ticket, but any input would be helpful.

And....yes, the drivers are all current.

HP DVD740e burner.

Anybody had problems with copies of certain movies stalling on a black screen at 17 seconds? If you leave the discs in the player and let them continue they will begin to play after 2 or so minutes. It's annoying to say the least. Is this a copy protection built into the disc that can be taken out prior to burning? I've had it come up several times now...

I have a Sony (under another brand name) DVD recorder/player that I have made a movie with that came from VCR recordings. I have finalized the disk and it is playable in most players. Not sure what the file type is (Nero 7 is able to import the files and utilize them). DVD neXT COPY is not able to recognize the DVD and thus unable to duplicate these home made DVDs. What is worse, the program goes into an endless loop and will not allow me to shut DVD neXt Copy down. I had to do a soft boot using the task manager.

I am such a newbie and the information you have on this site is overwhelming to the point of borderline insanity. Click and copy is what I was hoping for (not to become an expert in file types, codecs, decryption/encryption whatever those are)*sniff sniff.

HELP!!

Oh lordy!!! Nero will be my downfall. That sucker crashes and stalls my machine on a regular basis. It is the one reason I am looking at DVD NeXt COPY.

Also, I have a produced tape that is episodic in nature and essentially, I have to try to exercise with a remote control in my hand (idiotit producers!!!). I was hoping there was a way that I could eliminate the episodes and make a continuous play style DVD. Any suggestions. BTW this DVD will not copy at all (made 2 coasters so far attempting to back it up). The clue that something is wrong is the preburn process of copying files to my hard drive is done within 15 minutes.

Also, I am unable to contact the company with support issues without a serial number. Sorry, I thought this was support until I read the posted threads. DANG you people are sooooo sophisticated on this stuff. I would rate my level of knowledge below newbie (I've used DVD X Copy for years and just point and clicked). I'm reading through these threads and it's amazing the amount of tweaking you've all done to back up your DVD's.

BEWARE!! Stay clear of DVD NeXt Copy - No product Support.

As one of the first users of the original DVD X Copy, I recently purchased DVD NeXt Copy following some terrific reviews. Following installation, my new PC crashed twice. After two total PC restores (with restore disks) I used up my only two product activations (that's right JUST TWO!). Customer support is non existent as for the last four days all I've received is one canned message that did not address my problem. Four days with no direct reply to my problem or no added product activations to get me up and runnung is totally unacceptable. I spent $69.00 for this? PC's are simply not that stable that anyone can live with just two product activations. What happens when we all try to load the new Vista and problems occur? Lastly, there is no telephone contact number to call. Beware!

WORDS OF WISDOM

People are discovering that when you buy any product that is subject to "activation", you haven't really bought anything.

DVD neXt Copy technical responded most favorably to my earlier post and I'm happy to report that I'm now up and running. Admittedly, I was quite upset with incident as readers could tell by the post. However, I will afford DVD neXt Copy the benefit of a doubt for their renewed and sudden interest in seeing a disatisfied customer and jumping through hoops to arrive at a resolution. My concerns were addressed and the software on the surface appears to be as good as the reviews indicated on various websites. Thanks to one and all for your interest, support and assistance.

This is the text of their response to me following the post on Afterdawn forums:

I downloaded the free version of DVDneXtCopy, and when backing up a DVD I ran the pointer over the Stop button, and it stated that the "Copied DVD will be damaged." Any idea what that is about?

As long as you didn't left or right mouse click,(depending on your mouse and keyboard setup) you should be fine.

That button starts and stops the software operation.
