I see that DXC Gold is available for download, however when I log in I do not get the option to download. Is there a problem?

Gold is not an update for current owners of DXC/DXCX. It is simply a combimned purchase of DXC/DXCX for new customers.

If you have DXC and DXCX you already have the Gold.

I visited the ftp site last night and I saw that Gold was available for download. I didn't download it, but if you wanted to give it a shot here is the site:

If you already have both programs, you already have Gold. It is just both programs packaged together.

There will probably be many improvements to both programs in both the near and far future, but it in no way should be considered a step towards Platinum. That is an entirely different program. Though little more than hints have come out about it, it seems to have been built from the ground up as a totally seperate entity.

Glass is right, Gold is just both programs packaged together, but I thought I read somewhere that they have one user interface for the two.

I have everything running so well right now that I don't want to mess anything up, but I probably will create a restore point and install it just to see what happens. I won't be able to get to it until later tonight or possibly tomarrow morning, but I'll post back with what I find.

If anyone else has XP and wants to give it a shot, make sure you create a restore point first, then post back and let us know what happened.

Once again Glass is correct. Platinum will use all new technology. It has new burn engines and new transcoding too. It will be completely different in every way from what we have now with DXC and DXCX.

I drool at the mouth in anticipation.
