Hi Guys,
Last night I cr%&*pped up dvd xcopy express
so I decided to uninstall it.
When I got on the computer today and went to open xcopy a window popped up and said:
This application has failed to start because DVD XCOPY IPP.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Before I try to do this I should mention
that I had an automatic checking of my system drives when I started up my computer
this afternoon. It said:One of your discs needs to be checked for consistency.
I guess I should do something about that
first. But how do I do that?
Please be very specific in your step by step
response.
Thank you for any help.

dvdS.L.S,
In Windows Explorer right click on whatever drive is your main one (usually c:\). select properties. Then select the Tools tab. On that tab there should be something like "check this drive for errors". Place a check mark next to "Automatically fix errors" and hit I think the start button. I'm not on an XP machine right now. It will prompt you with something like "Windows needs exclusive access to system files" do you wish to run next time you reboot. Select OK/yes and then reboot your machine. On reboot it will check your drive for consistency. If there's a lot of screen activity going on with 'converting lost file fragements' messages you will probably have to reinstall any applications you may have a future problem with. Then, for sure, re-install Express.

Hi Conrad,
I did what you said and did not have any
converting lost file fragments messages.
I will now try to uninstall and re-install
x-copy.Once I have done that I will then ask for help for my screw up of xcopy express.
Thank you and I will let you know how it goes.
