Don't know what happened to my correction post from this morning but I'm asking about how to erase a successfully copied dvd+RW.
I tried erasing using x-copy but a window
opened saying dvdc-copy: insert disc ( not
responding ).This window could not be exited from no matter how many times I clocked on exit. When I pressed on continue,
nothing would happen. This window would not close so I had to turn off the computer.
I want to erase this disc because it won't play in my dvd player.
Any help would be appreciated.

First, the answer to your question. With your Sony you have a software program called RecordNow. Use that to erase your DVD. I think it's under the 'Drive' menu.

And last, don't double post. It confuses people trying to help you. Under your name when you post to these threads there's an
"Edit message" link. Click on it and you can edit your message at anytime you want to make any corrections to the original post.

That software should have come with your drive on a CD.
Yes. Nero would erase that DVD also.
