I have been a professional editor for more years than most of the folks here have been living <grin> which is probably why it takes me so long to get things working. I realize it is hard to keep up with everything when you are in the swamp, but.. DXC IS out on the market, so it should be letter perfect. (Just look at Microsoft <double grin>
I saw two grammatical errors in the Tutorial, and though they may be minor, they detract from the "professional" appearance and cost, of the program. I don't have them in from of me, but I will be happy to look them up and pass them on to whoever wants/needs to know. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to check any future copy for errors at no cost. My resume could be furnished to 321.
The program also needs 1. someplace to indicate the version, at least I can't find one on my copy. 2. A Help tab would be useful, and 3. the clocks on the burn screen need re-working so that they count down (and up) evenly instead of jumping in large, uneven segments. I personally like the way DVD extractor and Smart Ripper' clock work, showing the number of Bytes written against the total.
These are suggestions to make DXC a better product, not criticisms per se.

DickA,
Sorry I didn't see your post until now!!
I would like to know what errors you found in the Tutorial.. I read through it to see if I could find them, and I didn't see any errors.
It's most likely that my eyes compensate, and my brain just reads over the mistake. I have no doubt that it is there.. I just didn't see it.
The version of the program in use will show on the "placeholder" for DXCX that stays down in your system tray while the software is running.
I believe that this was changed in DXCX between 1.4.1 and 1.5, and the addition of the version number will be incorporated into any further versions of DXC.
The reading of the disk uses different processes that SmartRipper and DVD Extractor, but we are working towards making some big improvements in the reading step.

As an editor, I know just how hard it is to proofread your own copy!
The first error that caught my eye is on the first page of the Tutorial, "Tutorial - Step 1." The second word should be "you" NOT your. I have gone back over the tutorial and found several more (7-8 minor) errors, and have a couple of suggestions for you, if you want them. How is the best way to give them to you?
Depending on what you would like, I can do it here, or prepare a more detailed Word doc, giving you the screen shots and my suggestions and/or recommendations and send it to you via email. It's your call.
I would be more than happy to assist in proofing any copy you may have, at any time. I am now semi-retired (haven't been able to find a job since last July when I was laid-off), so I tend to have more spare time than I would like.
Let me know what you would like me to do.

Will do. I have already done screen captures of the screens where I saw the problems. So, it shouldn't take too long. If I send the doc to you as an attachment, can you get it?

DickA,
I thought I got an email from you in the Bugs account, but I was wrong.
If you send anything, I can get it, unless it is an exe. If you ever have to send me an exe, rename it so it says something other than exe.. I usually just delete the last e. so the file name would be blablabla.ex
