I have DVD X Show 2.2. Is it worth upgrading to 2.3 and if so, how do I get it?

I cannot run my Dvd X Show anymore because I cannot activate it on my new computer due to you-know-what. My hard disk on my old computer crashed. I still have the Comp USA receipt of Dvd X Show as proof of ownership. Is there a way to activate it? THis program is really good. I've tried other slideshow programs and nothing can compare with it. There might be other slideshow programs that I have not tried and work similar to DVD X Show. Does anybody knows if such program exists? Or can someone help me activate my copy? Thanks
