I keep getting this error (8) invalid server response when trying to activate dvd x copy. I had to reformat my computer after it crashed the other day and now my dvd x copy will not reactivate. I tried to use the phone activation 866-dvd-xcopy but that number is not any good. What do I do??

there server is down for the 50th time..ye will have to wait...
I'm getting the same thing! I submitted a ticket and they said I could activate 3 more times - problem is - when i put my license key and password in (which I got from the inside of the original box) it gives me that invalid server error. In my ticket they said to activate it online - how do I do that if the registration server won't respond?

Yes- I got an email from them saying that I could reactivate it 3 times - but it won't work through the application - it gives me a server not available or some such thing.

fill out the ticket below and ask them, they own the servers.
I kept getting the same Error 8 message and International appears unwilling to help anymore and continues to respond with their canned answers...I wouldn't recommend them anymore since they are not 321 Studios (who I wish would never have gone under). I purchased XXXXXXXXX tonight and it works like a champ while only costing me $XX

It appears their server is permently down. I think the only reason they maintain the fiction that it is available is to get leads for selling their new software. If their new software requires on-line activation don't buy it. All that will happen is when they decide to market a new version they will take the new server down and force you to upgrade.
