I have DVDXCopy Plat v 5.13 and have difficulties getting my new dual layer HP 740I burner to burn correctly. I have used TDK 8X media, Memorex 8X media, TDK 16X media and have had the same result every time. Burns successfully, but does not play in DVD.
I tried burning with DVDXCOPY Plat v 4.0.3.8 and have same result. Burns successfully, but does not play.
I tested the HP burner using Roxio and Nero and it is able to burn and read DATA DVDs successfully. So I do not believe there is a Media or DVD burner problem.
However, using the Plextor PX-716UF USB DVD dual layer burner, the same media burns successfully and plays on my Sony DVD player.
Has anyone else had this type of problem with HP or any other burner... Someone should have a web site that shows with program works with what burner and media. Any thoughts???

your posting in the wrong board,as are you sure your using platinum,as this is the dvdxcopy 1.52 board.
i can tell you its your burner not the program,if it worked with the other one.
read below..i know beans about your burner.
usually it the type of media your are using that will and cause that problem,and the speed of the media used.
per creaky
suggest burning at 4x MAX for video.
It will prevent playback issues, probably help to play on more picky DVD players and provide you a good burn.
Even if I try to burn at 4x, average speed is always around 3x.
if using memorex is not a good choice..
