This is a deal that a company called Tunist, Inc based in Houston, TX is plans to do with DVD X COPY.

* They buy each DVD X COPY for $99.00 from 321 Studios.
* They created an external ads about the size of the Afterdawn ones at the top of the screen.
* The ad solution is an external program not in the DVD X COPY program
*Free Lifetime Updates (per what they said)
* Perfectly, legal approach- no piracy (321 gets paid- Turnist get paid-- User gets free DXC
(az per what they said)
The Catch
* You have to click on ten (10) banners to have DVD X Copy backup one (1) dvd
* If you don't click on the banner- The external ad program will "freeze" DXC and your option is to close the program
* You can collect banners that you
* Your updates come from Tunist, Inc not 321 Studios.

Just wanted to let you all know about this

sounds like a great deal for users...but kind of stupid for advertisers...completely unqualified leads who will do nothing more than click and close

will be interesting to see what happens

yea- thats what I heard from my IT Dept (all own DXC including myself). They said late-March of 2003. I think it may be a benefit for users, but not for Tunist(company).

It would be interesting to have Roberts opinion on this

Have E-mailed Derrow @yahoo address several times about this and no answer. Does he use another e-mail? Mr Moore can you help?

(Sorry E-mails are from last to first order)
Please read the following:

Hello,

Please e-mail Derrow at the e-mail address that he sent the original letter from, and he will fill you in with better information.

Thank you,

321 Studios

Subject: free DVDX

I received an e-mail from Derrow back in December and was wondering when it was going to come to fruition. I was wondering if I was going to get a refund for being a DVDX and DVD/Split customer. And still be able to use the program of course. The second option would be that you would give me a second license for free. These options are all in the support forums. Please let me know what option I can use.

Below was the letter from Derrow that I received back in December.

Hello,

I have a very nice surprise for all who purchased DVD.
Robert H. Moore, President of 321Studios made the decision to give you a
nice christmas present,
which will be DVDXCopy for free. This offer is only for current DVDSplit
customers.

That is because I will put now all my efforts into DVDXCopy development,
and I don't have the time to do further developments on my old products.
Besides, the new DVDXCopy really kicks ass, and is currently even better
then my old tools.
It wouldn't make sense to develop two products parallel with the same
functionality.
So I'm really glad, that Robert H. Moore made this offer, and I don't need
to disappoint you.

Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas!

Derrow

yeah, this thread is about Tunist so it's unlikely to be viewed by derrow

try contacting 321 again explaining your emails to derrow have gone unanswered...are you sure you're using the correct email for him?

If you notice I got a reply from 321 and they told me to contact derrow. I have emailed him at the original address as they indicated derrow@yahoo.com. I don't know if he has another e-mail address.

The only thing I would be worried about if I was 321 would be if people do this and have that ad blocker software. Or even a hack that would disable the ads and not freeze up dxc. If that happens then the only people buying dxc would be Tunist.

I dont realy see that as a problem as tunist is going to want tp make a profit also. So they will more then likely impliment the adds as built in banners not popups and even subject to force a sequence of visits to get perticular letter or number from differant sites to get an activation code that could be set to change every week or more often or less often as they see fit. I Dont know for sure as havnt checked into there ideas for the release they plan.

HEY...the staff and mods are not going to like this post...but it is true and I am only posting in order to try and HELP. So please take it that way.

Several groups (underground serials and apps crack crews) have made several different cracks for DVDXCOPY , add to that that DVDXCOPYs FTP site is OPEN to anyone and thier grandmother...ANY ONE CAN HAVE IT FOR FREE.

I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ATALL.......so don't even bother asking me for web addresses were you might be able to find this stuff!!!!!!!!!!

I still do not have a DVDRW so I have no use YET for this program...but you can bet that when I do get my DVDRW...I WILL HAVE A LEGAL copy of it.....for the support if nothing else.

A SUGGESTION...add USSER and PASS to your FTP servers...NOW!!!!!

Just trying to help out.....not trying to do harm.

why would the company buy copys of dvd x copy for $100 when it's for sale for $79, I bet there are place that sells it for even cheap, when buy in bulk and in a business deal like this, it would be hella cheaper than $100 per copy, and that company won't make any money from the ad blab blab blab, stupid idiots
do some homework

I saw a TV infomercial from TigerTV where they were giving away a free copy of DVDXCOPY with the purchase of a SystemMax computer. They even showed the DVDXCOPY box on TV and briefly spoke about the product. DVDXCOPY is spreading fast!
