Are those Rima cases standard thickness for the title to show on the spine or are they thinner than regular keep cases? I can't tell from the website.

Well mine will arrive tmrw! (Friday) and I used a tape measure to estimate the size and I am 99.9% positive they are standard size. You can, however, order cases made my "NexPack" or some other company that are ultra thin...I'll update tmrw!

Hi nickicap,
If you are talking about the ones I just posted, they are the size of a hard plastic CD Rom case. I print a spine label in 18 font bold just fine.(note that all my labels including spine are custom made and self cut from self stick paper, works great)

I thought they looked thinner. I buy the standard black singles from them and doubles eleswhere, although their prices on the doubles are better than I'm paying.

Are you talking about p/n 6133 or 6163? Same thickness as the standard black case?

I'm talking about the 6163, I don't even see the 6133...hmm...the ones I ordered are Double and Clear. Yes, they are standard size :o)

The 6133 is farther down. It's also a double and clear. I think though, from what Oneacer told me, that the 6133 does not have the outer sleeve and is thinner than the 6163.

Target has TDK DVD+R, 20 pack, for $29.99. Speed up to 4X. Also DVD-R for the same price. If they are out you can get a raincheck.

I saw those adds for Best Buy and Office Depot (25 pack + a free 5 pack). My question is WHY ISN'T THE ADD AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE EVER CHANGED? These aren't the current prices at Meritline and haven't been for around a half a year. Let's keep things up to date. Don't get me wrong, I love Meritline. I've ordered from them twice and have been EXTREMELY satisfied and will order with them again for sure.

well it look like 1.50 per disc is the deal
4x @ taget i thought about that ....and i burn at 2.4 or less for video back ups so....
i do have a phillips burner and i like the idea of a free five pak (in cases?)
if they are not then i must admit i will use the 50 pak of fuji for sure ..so why not

QUESTION 1)who has the best COMBO dvd/withcase deals ?

2)can i get +rw for 1.50 any were if i buy 100+?

security,
I use the +RW by Leda. 100 pk for 179.00, free shipping from shop4tech.com. Best deal and proven to work 100% of the time.

I made the error of ordering the 6163s and they are the size of retail Video DVD cases. oneacer got the 6133 dual cases which are smaller and the size of a regular jewel case. I think you are looking for the same size cases I want i.e., clear dual cases that are the size of regular thin/slim cases but hold 2 DVDs. I first got them when I bought Khypermedia DVD+R discs from Microcenter in Va. They are very thin slim, clear dual cases. I can't seem to find a vendor offering them. I first thought oneacer was referring to those and ordered some but had to quickly cancel the order when I realized they were the size of regular jewel cases. Also, you are correct! I couldn't exactly tell the size from the web picture either. That's why I made the purchase error and had to cancel.

FWIW: I don't think any media is a cheap (good) buy if it costs more than $1.00 per disc.

The older I get the better I know how to utilize my time.

That may be. However, I have quite a few +RWs that were previously purchased and I only use them for backups mostly. I also use them ocassionally to first test problematic DVD backups and if successful, I recopy on DVD-R (< $1.00) media and erase the first +RW copy and save.

O, I agree. I seldom use +RWs, and only to test stuff, but the price is very good for that format.

I was mad because Best Buy was sold out of the 100 pc spindle of TDK DVD+Rs both at the local store and online. But I did find this deal on Fujifilm +Rs, in case anyone is interested:

Hey security. . .Thanks for the post. I took your advice and ordered a spindle of Imation disks from Bestbuy.com yesterday. There's even a $5 rebate, on top of the 40% off. But I got an email today that they are on backorder. Hopefully, they will get more.

thanks for the heads up on the tdk+R 4X, they work great on my sony dw-u10a! used a bunch of em already too late to take them back ;b

how are the imations for compatibility? theyre 2X, so thats -R, right. I havent gotten 4x speed on my burner, but like the older (and wiser;) fellas say,'for video slower is better'

thanks for all the help!

you know besides the money i wanted to try to have most of my discs at 2x wich is a second reason i took em back for the imation. im sure i shagged ass all over town for nothing though as the 20 pak of tdk 4x i opened worked great
(from a week earlier at staples)i was working on the "tdk test pak" when i notieced the imation sale. i had not yet opened my 100 pak so i did the switch. were all good give or take a pennies on a disc
if you want try a 10 pak of imations and use it right away (before sale is over)if they work as well as the rest ...stock up with a 50 pak. or, THIS COULD BE A GREAT TIME TO GET SOME +RW MEDIA !
RW IS GREAT FOR "TESTING" new updates, dif features, full screen/widescreen settings, and even new players (test that next one using both an rw and a r disc)
i hear the sony burner is picky is that true?
:)
