The subtitle just don't work in this particular movie. I have seen this problem before when there are close captioned and regular subtitles on a DVD the only way they would work is if all the subtitles are selected.

Only problem i had with ver-2.0 express,
321 back up promp, would not play through,on all three of my players.had to press skip/channel to play.
after that the movie played all the way through.
rip and burn times on ver-1.52 53min 17 sec and
express 51min 42sec are about the same.
ver-1.52 will auto play on all my players no problem with 321 back up screen.
the express up date from ver-1.0 played and burned the same.same problem as ver-2.0
compatibility is the same with ver-1.52 and 2.0 express ON MY SYSTEM.
windows-2000 sp-3
lite-on-166s
lite-on ltr522465-usb
hp-200j
hd-1-120gb
hd-2-120gb
hd-3-120gb
I LIKE EXPRESS BETTER THEN DVDXCOPY VER-1.52
IT IS VERY EASY TO USE.

You know I'm not going to air my "dirty laundry" here re: my beta findings. I'll leave their interpretation to the experts. I'm moving closer to your corner the more I use these pgms. I installed and uninstalled them and only the "Gods" know for sure, but they sure seem to work better after a re-install or two.

I believe another user selection feature will also be included in Platinum, .i.e the ability to utilize any remaining disc space to enhance picture quality. This would be especially useful for movies of 90 min or less. Obviate and lessen the compression factor. Keep varying your specs until the movie expands to fit comfortably within 4.38GB.

The older I get the better I know how to utilize my time.

I think you are having the problem that I mentioned about your first post about this. I have found from runing into that with many times that it has to do with the media and the size of the outcome. At this point about the only thing you can do is try another brand of media. I suggest rw for the time being. I do think that controll over the size of the outcome will come with platinum but do hope it will be offered in xpress. The reason for this hope is there will be folks that does not qualify for free platinum and a good working dxc and a good working dxcx will pretty much = platinum.

Like Toolman18, I also get the message:

You are not eligible for the free download at this time.
Please check back later for more details.

The Support Center web page contradicts this, saying:
Existing DVD X Copy customers can recieve the XPRESS Upgrade for free.

I have registered my copy of DVD X Copy, so what gives?

Thanks!

Program works like a charm! I backed up 7 movies so far flawlessly and "cannot" tell any difference in video quality.

321, you did it. :)

Only problem i see is when copying the movie to the HD, the CPU resources are nerve racking. :(

Also, I would have suggested making DVDxCopy 1.6 with Xpress built in. So when a user puts in a dvd that can be split, they are given the option to split using 1.6 or Xpress it by launching the xpress tool. ;) Just my way of thinking!!

Yes your cpu usage will be high because it is not only copying the movie but transcoding it at the same time.

Finally I can get back on! I go on vacation, come back in time to get Express! Download at work, then burn to a cd, bring it home and then install (man I couldnt wait!) BOOOOOOOM received a NSIS error stating "Installer corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a failed or corruption from a virus. ....". Then I moved the file off of my cd to my hard drive and made sure it was not in read only status, tried again and same error. Did a cold boot, tried again and same thing. So then I tried to download it again, only to find out, you get the message "you have already upgraded to express". well that sucked to. I then jump on the forum to ask for help, only to find out my account was deactivated, so I had to wait for hours to get a email to re-activate my account (I never got the original). I sent in a email to support (since the 24 hour support is text translated into words for the 12 hours I am at home(no one ont eh phones, must call between 9 to 9)).

Well I thought I was done venting, but then I remembered that I have been trying for months to give money to DXC to "make up the difference" and after many emails and calls, I have yet to talk to any one that knew what I was talking about (happens when support is farmed out) or receive a email back from the ones I submitted (besides autoresponders stating wait 24 to 48 months (oh I meant hours))

OK I am done venting know! I love DXC, I love their products, and I am actually a very patient man, I just had one of those screwy nights you know. Any way if there is anyone that could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. I did try the ftp site, all the DXC copies are there, but no express. Also the file I downloaded was complete and it was 1.76mb, can some one confirm the size? Thanks.

1.76 is the right size. Could still be a bad download though. Go to the customer service site and login like you are going to check activations and you should be able to download it again.

Qrgazmo
Try installing it again this time without uninstaling. Sounds like you didnt get the drivers installed. Do you remember if you got 2 prompts during install one saying drivers installed, Then when click ok the other saying dxcx installed and you need to reboot?

Have done Enemy at the Gates (R2) no problems at all, worked on Xbox / standalone Philips 985 / No difference in Quality, then if I had been using DVDXcopy? did the test on two dvd burners AO5 (-RW) and Philips 228 (+RW).

But!!! had trouble with Windwalkers, using both Pioneer AO5 and Philips 228,
Both read disk fine, but hung on the burn,
So I put that down to a problemmatic disk.

Then had a go at LOTR, 2hrs 51mins worth of feature, again all fitted onto disk with a bit of room to spare, supereb quality, But No sound!! was using Xpress ver 2.

Will hit the trail again to-day..

Formally known as Lawman, but due to unforseen circumstances, have had to set up a new account,
Have asked for my old account to be re-activated!! - who knows?

I was one of the beta testers and I must say this is a very impressive program that is FAST.

<Edited by 321_Q/A for content violation>

I would be very interested in comments about the quality compared to the other similar products.

Only problem I have found is that for Mulholland Drive (PAL)it copies the wrong title ie it backs up the short interview and not the movie. I know this is a strange disk but the program probably needs you to be able to choose which title to backup.

Congrats on a great program!

I have registered my copy of DVD X Copy, so what's up with that?
I also received an email stating I've been selected to beta-test XPRESS but I can't even download it yet? In the words of Marvin Gaye, "What's going on"?

I have backed up Harry Potter. Its about 2:40 minutes. Fit on 1 disk using XPRESS. Works great on all 3 of my players (PS2, Apex, Sony). The only problem I've had was My next copy. Program quit working. Unistalled and reinstalled. When starting out the Xpress screen goes White and just sits there like its transcoding. My lights on the computer are going crazy. Let run for 45 minutes then the screen changed to burn. Put in disk burned for 2 minutes and the only thing there was the DVD warning screen, Like at the start of every copy. Then locked up player.
Also: The Beta test sight seems to freeze and not let you enter all the iformation. ttp://beta.321studios.com/default.asp?qid=72

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Thanks
