May I jump on the band wagon and get the update also? I have v. 2.0, by 321Studio.
Does the update help with the low quality video image that the xmaker creates after you 'build dvd'

that was the last version we have, some reason it still shows 2. If you get a update message from the server, ignore it. The server is saying there are updates for most of the xcopy line of programs and this is not true. When 321studios closed, so did the updates.

Hi, I have been all over these forums looking for the dvdxmaker updates. This may sound stupid of me but what does the moderator's reply of "check pm" mean? Does this mean "check previous message"? Is this update forever lost in the ether?

go to the main page (afterdawn.com) log in there. right side of screen, near top you will see this

Thanks for explaining what "check pm" means.
I did just what you suggested but all links to
dvdxmaker are dead. IMO dvdxmaker was the hands down best dvd authoring program on the market.
I have been using it since it was owned by Dazzle.
I cannot believe that any software this good could just vanish. I think Pinnacle bought Dazzle and was going to introduce some of great ideas that Dazzle had to it's product. I tried Pinnacle and hated it. I had the updates at one point, but like others my hard drive crashed and I didn't have a backup at that time. Can anyone please send me a pm with these updates?
