I have trying to investigate this particular movie, although have not found any threads discussing the issue.
The result if In The Bedroom backup is skipping audio with completely destroyed picture. All I can see is primarily green background with little moving squared vith various colors. I don't think it's a DVDXcopy problem, sinca I tried other methods. The outcome is always the same. I also had trouble during the rip of the first half. When layer changed the DVD rom had trouble reading. After several tries it continued. Second half read fine. In both cases the output is corrupted. Anyone experienced this? I have had no trouble with anything else.

Darth: I'm experiencing the same symptoms. Based on my tests so far, I'm guessing it's a problem ripping rather than burning. I'm going to play around with changing the split points and maybe the format when my computer gets freed up. If I have any luck I'll post another reply.

Same issue here. Changing the chapter split point didn't help, either.

Yes. It's definitely a ripping issue. Like I said I tried alternate methods to verify that it was in fact the ripping process. I wonder if it is some kind of a new copy protection. I even borrowed another copy from a friend, because I thought it was a bad batch. Original plays fine though.

I just ran into the same problem with In The Bedroom. Any discovered solutions yet, or since it is a "ripping issue" are we s.o.l.?

I haven't found a complete solution yet, but I'm still working on it. I've now successfully ripped the complete movie using DVDDecrypter, but haven't been able to successfully split it using IFOEdit. I get the same results when I split with IFOEdit that I was getting with DXC, but I'm not really sure what to make of that. Encryption issue?
