Can anyone help me please? I have just installed dvd x rescue (version 212 16) that came with dvd x copy on my machine that has Win XP. When I put a scratched disk in the drive and open up the programme, it tells me that it is 'preparing access to DVD content'. The icons along the top are all grey except for the 'eject' and 'change device'. I've been looking at a timer now for hours!.
So far I have uninstalled and re installed twice but to no avail. The task manager shows the the programme is using 80-90% of my CPU.
Has anyone any suggestions? Thanks

version 4.0.3.8. I've also tried turning off the Norton AV but still no action.

rescue never did work right in the later versions of platinum, check pm for a solution

I have the same problem with herbert1 and the same version of dvdxrescue and dvdxcopy platinum, too. Please help, thanks.

I'm also having just about the same problem with dvd x rescue as herbert1. It's the version that came with dvd x copy v4.0.3.8. I have Windows XP home edition on my computer. Need help. Thanks.

heads up...there is no fix for rescue,the last time rescue worked properly was in platinum version v311...on the rewrite they broke it..and never fixed it..on some systems rescue v4038 worked as hit and miss.
if ye want to go back to v311 contact baldbear...
or get version...with out platinum...

Need help with DVD x Rescue Version 2.1.0 Build 277 with DXD X Copy Platinum 3.2.1.0
Put DVD in drive and run rescue. After selecting drive get DVDXRESCUE Exception Access violation. I have never gotten past that point with any DVD or Drive. Would like update for both.

go to the link below, click reply in the link and post for platinum 4.0.3.8
by upgradting to platinum 4.0.3.8 it will sometimes solve the problem, if not there is one more option.

After I installed DVD X Rescue 4.0.3.8 it will not open. When I click on the rescue icon the dvd x rescue flash screen comes up like it is going to open but is never does. I have reinstalled it multiple times and it is doing the same thing. Any suggestions.?

there is no fix..;.and there will not be one..the reason 321 studios has been closed for over two years.
It is already over 90 days since last post to this thread, you're not allowed to post here anymore.
