Sorry to add yet another activation question thread to the board, but I would love some answers, to this and another question. First, I bought Games X Copy from a store last July. It's installed on my current computer. The question is: How do I go about obtaining the unlocking key if I should choose to install this on another computer (or if after a complete HD wipe of my current computer). I know that 321 Studios went under, and any customer support to unlock it went along with it.
Second question (two parts): My verison is 1.0.8; was there any last updates for it before the closing? If so, how could I obtain it, if it makes any major differences to the overall quality of the program?

if you choose activate from another computer, is will save a file to a floppy for you, then you open the floppy and click the file. It will take you to a download site and another file will be copied to the floppy. then you use that file to activate with. for an update check your pm

Thanks for the heads up. Just one quick question. Maybe because my brain's fried from the past 2 months of b.s., what exactly does "is" (is will save a file to a floppy...)stand for?

Hey guys, almost 7 months ago I purchased a GamesXCopy that worked flawlessly on my system until windows crashed & I had to reinstall from scratch. Now even after activation I get "SetDevMap failed -1", also "Error changing settings!". After this the program seems to start, but when I try to add drives I get "SetDevMap failed: FFFFFFFFh". If I persist I get an error when I load the drive. Will an update help & if so why when nothing really changed on my system?
