It will most likely have a Cheap Media page like this. Just to let you know in case there is not one at 321's new place.

NOT TRUE !
I quote rh moore president of 321
"If you go to our web site now, you will see there are two distinct links to 321 Live and Afterdawn, as I expected to happen all along. It just took a few hours for everyone to get on the same page."
Mr. Moore's company will continue to promote this site and these links.
Meritline always has great deals with free shipping on most of them. Wouldn't it be better for this site to use the advertisement link at the top of this page to go purchase them. Instead of going through someone else's affiliated link to get the same prices.

www.officedepot.com
(you have to create a customer account)
If you want to buy the Phillips +R media (Item# 0881218) The price is $59.94 for a 25Pack, add 2 to your cart, once in the cart, scroll down and you will see a text box for you to enter any codes / discounts / coupons... Enter the following # 084399791 This # will give you a coupon of buy 1 get one free, so now you have 2-25Packs for $59.94. After you submitt the first code, enter *yes, again* the following code 057790388 This will give you an additional $10 Off any orders over $50... so now you have a total of $49.94 for 50 Blank DVD+R...
~~~~~~~~~~~
The same goes for the -R media, the one on special is the Verbatim 25Pack DVD-R, Item # 0584380, Follow the same exact instructions mentioned above, same coupon codes as well... I was able to mix and match 50 of each, and this is what the order looked like...
Thanx, I've done this one before with you. The Philips media works pretty well and it turns out to be a great deal, although I'd prefer 4x media. But, it still was well worth doing again!
Hi nickicap1, yeah, I guess you have :) hehehe... I found this one last night and wanted to share it since it expires on the 13th...
Yes, I was biting my tongue because for like 15 cents more per disk, I could have gotten 4x +R Ritek, WHICH they claim are the makers of the Ricoh Media, which if true, then is the same as Verbatim+r 4x, Memorex +r 4x, Phillips, TDK, etc all +R 4x of course... but what I noticed lately is that I've been brainwashed and I've been using my 4x media at 2.4 :( I haven't been backing up much lately so time is not so much of a priority asit used to be when I first started...
Thanks anyways... By the way, have you tried the Matrix media??? Sometimes I feel like buying the cheap media but I don't want to regret it later :) I missed the $0.79 Ritek 1x (2x with my drive) media days ;)
RE: newegg.com 100pk arita (made by ritek) 2.4 +r for $87 with delivery and 100pk ritek 4x +r for $99 w/delivery
Just wanted to report these 4x babies are working fine on my 500/510 Sony burner. I messed two up due to "operator error", but other than that these burn very well so far.......
Are you 100% sure that Arita is made by Ritek?? same quality as the original Ritek?? because that meadia is way cheaper than Ritek Media (even the unbranded one).. Thanks!
I don't know for sure. If someone can point me to that Disc Manufacturer ID program that is out there and tell me how to use it I will be happy to check and get back to everyone.....
Until then, I would have you check this site out, which seems to have some detail on this brand which seems to confirm this....
I bought a 100pk of the 4X Ritek ARITA branded dics from Newegg 3 weeks ago. About 1 in 9 seems to be turning up as bad. The 'bad' ones play ok in my computer but refuse to play in any of my 3 players. I'm using a NEC ND-1100A 4X burner and have slowed my burns down to 2.4X - that helped a little. Buy these as a last resort if you want cheap media, both $$ and quality.
Marcusm,
Do a Google search for DVDInfo Pro; I think this is what you're looking for. Easy to use.
I actually like using 4x media at 2.4x. Higher grades stuff at normal speed produces frsibee-less results.
I don't touch cheapo media anymore. I've had somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 bad discs so far. At least Verbatim replaces all of theurs that I send back. I'd have gone for the 4x deal though if it were from a reputable source.
BTW, Ritek is Samsung... I'd believe Ricoh sells to them, not vice versa.
"BTW, Ritek is Samsung... I'd believe Ricoh sells to them, not vice versa."
My God, when is the madness gonna end? How deep does this "I make you, you make it, it makes that, that makes those" goes? lol... so Samsung is Ritek???
Ok, I KNOW for sure that Ricoh makes their own stuff, and distribute as followed TDK, Verbatim, Memorex Grey Spindle, Philips, and a few others I've tested... That is why I found it weird that Ritek CLAIMED to Make discs for Ricoh... I forgot on what Site I saw that... I would love to stay with the TDK (same as the others I mentioned but cheaper) but I don't have $189 right now :)
I went to Best Buy and bought a spindle of the TDK (DVD-R47ACB25) they had on sale. Burned using XPRESS and another program; two coasters. :(
I have used Ritek and Memorex 4x +R discs exclusively. When a 100pk of Ritek was not available, I choose the "alernative" Arita and I have had great success with all 3 brands on my pc dvd players (both liteon) and 3 stand alone players (fisher, sony, panasonic). According to a Burn Smart program Arita is manufactured Ritek.
