I recently ordered dvd x copy (platinum) w/ rescue and I get get the exact same violation code. I called for suport and was told that the disk is probably corrupt so they sent me out a new one...that too has the same violation code.
But the X copy burns without any problems but I just can't get past the device settings on rescue...any ideas?

My copy of plat + and rescue work fine on my pc.. I installed from cd to a new laptop and dvdxcopy works fine, however, with rescue I get this exception access violation also. As newbie I thought it might have something to do with direct x .. it is not on my pc and I have stayed from any downloads with direct x in it.. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

wild77 a good call
go here to fill out a ticket
http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/133638

note...platinum v311 had the best rescue,as later versions rescue was hit or miss..
a better way to say it was messed up broke as there is no fix for rescue...

The easiest solution if you cant manage a other solution is to re-format the hard drive and re-install windows. I had the same exact problem and spent a day trying to resolve the problem and the only real fix was to reformat and reinstall windows. Now I have no problems.

You reinstalled Windows!!! Oh my. The problem is with the new XP updates. As soon as you update with the latest service pack you will have the same problem. I have yet to find a fix.

Any status updates?? I am getting the same access violation when selecting either my D or E optical drives. The cool thing is that DVD XCOPY is working nicely and burns ok to a dvd-rw.

I'm having the same problem with the Exception Access, Is there anyway to actually fix this problem without having to reintall windows? Do I have to call 321 to reset my activation, is that the best way or is there another better way of doing it?
Thanks

if you are not using platinum version 4.0.3.8 go to this thread and request it, make sure you post in that thread anywhere else you will not get the update.

I actually got in contact with DVDxcopyinternational, they're great. Please take my advice and email them before you wait for a response from somebody here, they are very helpful and it only took an hour and a half to have the problem fixed. What you have to do is get the 3.1 version installed, then install version 4 on top of it, without installing the Rescue, then it works great. They're my hero, but these guys didn't take long to respond, they were helpful as well. I'm very appreciatative for people like them.

If that's the case you guys need to cancel your web page, because that's what you say you are there for, HELP!! Just trying to help people out.
