I recently suffered a severe computer crash and had to totally refresh my OS. Before the crash, I had DVD X Copy Xpress installed, well when I went to re-install it and it asked for a on-line activation key, guess what? 321 Studios went out of business and no longer supports their DVD burning products. My question is.. Does anyone know how to activate this software?

I can still activate my 321studios software. Did you ever register with 321? If you did that is the password you should use to activate

Yes, I registered with 321 when I bought the software.
I tried my id and password, but that does no good either.
What happens is it wants to verify the id and password results on-line and everytime the website rejects both the id and password that comes with the software, as well as the id and password that 321 gave me when I first registered. I think the problem is that the website is no longer maintained and is a dead site.
Is there a file on the installed software I can edit to trick it into thinking I have installed the password from the 321 site? If so, does anyone know how to go about it?
Thanks. Sure does suck that I spent money on something that I can not use.

Can you login here with your email address and your password?
http://secure.321studios.com/solo/customers/

If you can you use that password and the license number that came with your software.

Yes, I can login to the site using both my customer ID and chosen password and also my software ID and it takes me to a moved site that says I have 25 activations left, but when I try to download, it allways tells me that the file is not found. I even tried it with my Privicy cookies turned way down and my firewall off to no avail. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Kenst,

So activation isn't your problem? Because that was what I though your problem was.

Are you just looking for a newer version?

No, I'm not looking for a newer version, unless it wants to update the one I have. The problem is the site will not give me a new activation key to make the current version work.

ok, that's what I thought.

So you cannot activate with your original license # and the password you use to login?

And you said you've disabled your firewall. Do you have XP? If so, did you make sure the built in firewall in XP is turned off as well?

Are you using a router?

You'll have to email their support. Your license and login password should work.

Thanks, I will give that a try and will let you know what happens.
I have checked my internet time sync and it has been regulary updated.
I have a Abit NF7-S2 Mother board with a AMD Athlon XP Processor running at 1.92 Ghz with a All in Wonder 9200 Graphics Processor which I put together myself, so the problem is not a wimpy computer, seems to be a problem with the website.

I tried the euro support link and they told me to try the on-line activation and if that didn't work, they gave me this phone number, 1-800-455-6054, which is not a working number.
Needless to say, neither option works.
Is there some way I can get my money back on this software since there is no support for it, when there was support for it when I bought it?

Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately you have contacted European Technical Support. DVD X Copy products are no longer being supported in the United States, but if you have previously purchased one of the products in the DVD X Copy series, please contact Canada for support or contact your dealer for more information.

Canada

Technical Support & Software Activation Phone: 1-800-455-6054

Needless to say, they were not reading what I told them.

Then figure out a way for those of us that spent money on DVDXCOPY to re-activate our software when all the links to the sites are dead and there is no support from even the European sites

Ok, I have went to the site you posted and filled out their form. I have done this before, but maybe somebody will reply this time.
Why can't you just post this instead of your smug reply instead?
